4 imported COVID-19 cases found

The Centre for Health Protection today said it is investigating four additional imported COVID-19 cases, three of which involve the L452R mutant strain while the remaining case’s mutation test result is pending.   The four patients arrived from the Philippines, Indonesia and Singapore. All of them tested positive for the virus during quarantine.   A total of 64 cases were reported in Hong Kong in the past 14 days. One is a local case with an unknown infection source and the rest are imported.   For information and health advice on COVID-19, visit the Government’s dedicated webpage. http://dlvr.it/S9x3zz

Cultural ambassador scheme opens

The Community Cultural Ambassador Scheme 2022 is open for applications, the Leisure & Cultural Services Department announced today.   Applicants must be registered local non-profit-making performing arts groups or ensembles of artists that have been active in the past year and have experience in public performance.   They may submit a proposal for activities that encourage holistic wellness in the new normal under the pandemic, interpersonal relationships in the community, or arts education activities.   The proposal should cover one performing art form or more and the proposed projects may include performance, lectures, demonstration, episodic performance or exhibitions or a combination of such activities.   The selected artists and arts groups will organise outreach activities to be performed in various districts in Hong Kong next year to bring arts to the public.    The application deadline is April 26.   Call 2591 1611 or email the Audience Building Office for enquiries.
