Hands-on approach to mental illness

With the aim of combatting the fear and misconceptions surrounding mental illness, Castle Peak Hospital’s Mind Space museum enables visitors to experience hallucinations, similar to the sensory experiences mentally ill patients encounter, by way of rooms that utilise virtual reality (VR) technology.   A group of secondary students recently embarked on a journey through Mind Space after registering and receiving patient wristbands. This unique mental health experience museum provided them with a comprehensive understanding of the development of psychiatric services in Hong Kong.   Displays in the museum showcase intriguing relics, including the evolution of restraints and handwritten patient records. Novel-themed stamps to be issued

Hongkong Post will launch a special stamp issue and associated philatelic products themed on the classical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms.   The stamp set adopts paintings created by renowned artist Tung Pui-sun in its design, enabling collectors to appreciate the novel's remarkable moments.        The set of six stamps and two stamp sheetlets features eight of the popular scenes in the novel.   To underscore these dynamic scenes on the stamp sheetlets, the stamps of both are specially made in a triangular shape, making them precious collectibles.        The stamp set also comprises a collector pack and collector card, two brand new products.   Advance orders for the philatelic products are available online until March 16.   Click here for details.
