5.71m vaccine doses administered

About 5,719,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to the public, with about 3,256,100 people receiving their first dose and around 2,462,900 getting their second dose.   Among those given the first dose of vaccines, about 1,275,900 people have received the Sinovac jab and about 1,980,100 people have received the BioNTech one.   For the second dose, about 990,700 people have received the Sinovac vaccine, while about 1,472,300 people have been administered the BioNTech jab.   About 55,800 people received jabs under the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme today.   About 6,200 people received their first dose of the Sinovac vaccine and around 7,300 people received their second dose.   For the BioNTech vaccine, about 22,400 people received their first dose and around 19,700 people got their second dose.   The overall percentage of people who received the Sinovac vaccine at community vaccination centres is about 96%, while it is about 98% for the BioNTech one.   As o

4 imported COVID-19 cases reported

The Centre for Health Protection today said it is investigating four additional COVID-19 cases, all of which are imported.   They involve two men and two women aged between 27 and 60 who arrived from Kenya, India, Japan and the US.   A total of 155 cases have been recorded in the past 14 days, including 37 local cases, of which 17 have unknown infection sources.   For information and health advice on COVID-19, visit the Government's dedicated webpage.
