Hands-on approach to mental illness

With the aim of combatting the fear and misconceptions surrounding mental illness, Castle Peak Hospital’s Mind Space museum enables visitors to experience hallucinations, similar to the sensory experiences mentally ill patients encounter, by way of rooms that utilise virtual reality (VR) technology.   A group of secondary students recently embarked on a journey through Mind Space after registering and receiving patient wristbands. This unique mental health experience museum provided them with a comprehensive understanding of the development of psychiatric services in Hong Kong.   Displays in the museum showcase intriguing relics, including the evolution of restraints and handwritten patient records. 3 imported COVID-19 cases found

The Centre for Health Protection said today it is investigating three additional COVID-19 cases involving two men and one woman who arrived from Namibia, Cyprus and Ghana.   A total of 31 cases were reported in Hong Kong in the past 14 days, including one local case with an unknown infection source, 29 imported cases and one import-related case.   The centre also reminded people linked to Block 10 of Tai Po Centre to undergo mandatory testing in accordance with the compulsory testing notice tomorrow.   For information and health advice on COVID-19, visit the Government's dedicated webpage.
