Athlete seals another bronze

Secretary for Home Affairs Caspar Tsui hailed athlete Yam Kwok-fan for scoring a bronze medal in the Women's T36 200m event at the 11th National Games for Persons with Disabilities & the Eighth National Special Olympic Games today.   This is her second medal at the games after winning bronze in the Women's T36 100m event.   Sending his congratulations to the athlete and the team, Mr Tsui said: “Yam Kwok-fan pulled her efforts and displayed great tenacity in the competition. National arts fund open to HK

The Government today welcomed the opening up of China National Arts Fund applications from local arts institutions and practitioners for the first time.   The Council of the China National Arts Fund announced that the China National Arts Fund 2022 now accepts applications from Hong Kong and Macau. Eligible arts institutions and practitioners may submit applications via the arts fund’s website from July to September.   The 14th Five-Year Plan promulgated in March included support for Hong Kong to develop into an arts and culture exchange hub of China and the rest of the world.   The Government said it will continue to assist the arts and culture sector to seize the opportunities offered by the country’s 14th Five-Year Plan.   Accepting Hong Kong applications for the arts fund is a testimony to the country’s care for the development of the city’s arts and culture sector and arts talents, providing them a wider scope of development, it added.
